I’m currently walking the Pilgrim’s trail between Oslo and the town of Tronheim, a 600km stretch across the beautiful Norwegian countryside. Joined by my good friend Mr Jolyon Braime and an another Dave, an American chap from Michigan. The days are long and the trail can be brutal, especially when you’re slogging up hills carrying a 20 kilo backpack. But there’s nothing quite like pitching up your tent in the middle of the pine forest, cooking dinner on the stove then crawling into your sleeping bag for some well deserved kip. Nothing else seems to matter much when you’re out in the wildnerness.
