My friend and fellow photographer Richard Bradbury recently sent me a copy of his new book Rich Photographer Poor Photographer, in which he included a section about me and my work as an editorial photographer. I'm really honoured to be included in this excellent reference guide for budding photographers looking to set up their own business. My advice - be decisive! If you have a hobby you're passionate about and want to pursue as a business then you have to throw yourself into it. When I started out I didn't have a clue what I was doing. In the beginning it's important to create a business plan, to network, build an online presence. At the same time it's hard to disguise the fact that you're acting blind. Personally not knowing what's around the next corner was part of the excitement, as well as meeting new people and making new friends.
