As a cat lover last week’s assignment for Time Out magazine was one of my most enjoyable to date. Dinah’s Cat Emporium on Bethnal Green Road is opening to the public in a few weeks and will be the first of its kind in the UK. Here you can sip tea and enjoy scones in the company of a family of friendly kitties. There are cat toys aplenty, my particular favourite being the cat (hamster) wheel.

The shoot became a technical challenge when I found out I couldn’t use flash. Naturally that sort of thing freaks the hell out of cats. Thankfully Ben Rowe at Time Out was on hand to help out with some mobile phone lighting. Enjoy!
